Charitable Contributions for January

We are working toward our 1% for the planet pledge and also toward achieving climate neutrality. As part of that, we will be purchasing carbon offsets in order to get Carbon Neutral Certified.

Total for January Donations: $5,625.51

$1,286.17 will be donated to our financial need fund with the Veterinary Care Foundation.

Brook Farm has partnered with the Veterinary Care Foundation to support our community. Our charitable fund supports eligible families in crisis and provides care for pets that have been harmed or displaced.

$767.00 is in our Employee Advised Fund: Not One More Vet

We voted as a team for which non-profit we wanted to allocate these funds to and for the month of January our team voted for the charity: Not One More Vet

Did you know that many veterinary professionals are in crisis? Not One More Vet (NOMV) provides the necessary support to all members of veterinary teams and students who are struggling or considering suicide.

You are good enough, and you are never alone. Help is available. To speak with someone today dial 988 to be connected to the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.

$1,000.00 is in our Employee Advised Fund: Green Chimneys

Green Chimneys School for little folk is a facility for the delivery of special education and other services to children with special needs in our local community. They offer an innovative program incorporating academic, behavioral and emotional support in a comprehensive learning environment to help each child achieve new skills and confidence, and return to their home school district with the best chance of success.

Brook Farm Veterinary Center will be sponsoring Green Chimneys' Birds of Prey Day, which will occur on Sunday, June 4, 2023. Birds of Prey Day is an eco-friendly event that offers visitors a unique opportunity to experience over 100 raptors and other animals with top wildlife experts. Also, the event attracts 3,000 visitors, and is supported with potent social media, advertising, and publicity, reaching residents across Putnam, Dutchess, and Westchester Counties

$2,572.34 will be donated to environmental causes: Carbon Offsets

Due to the fact that climate change is a non-localized issue, carbon offsetting is possible. In order to protect the climate, greenhouse gasses must be reduced everywhere in the atmosphere.
